Vego Products Limited, which initially specialized in Manufacturie of plastic packaging and cosmetic s was established in 1985 as a family business. The company was acquired by Nigeria Distilleries Limited (NDL) in 2002 as a strategic acquisition in its drive towards backward integration. The acquisition was promoted under the SME scheme with NDL owning 81.5% equity and Diamond Bank Plc 18.5% equity.
Since 2002 the company has stream lined its operations to production of PET bottles and closures with NDL as its main customer accounting for about 60% of its total annual sales.
